What Moins jeter does today

Six tools in service, a shared foundation and written rules. Nothing that does not exist yet.

Assessment

Your profile

From your municipalities, the service reads public data (INSEE, ADEME): residents, share of scattered housing, kilos per resident of residual waste, recycling centre waste, garden waste and bulky waste, second homes, campsites, tourist beds, funding method. It derives the actions that matter most for you, each with its target and source. Missing data is marked “to be checked”, never counted as zero; what you already do is shown as “measure the effect”. The profile and the prevention plan.

Collection

Collection days

One round per municipality and per waste type, weekly or fortnightly, with a time and an instruction. A collection can be cancelled, moved or added on a given date, with a message to residents. Each bank holiday stays “to be confirmed” until you decide. More on collection days.

Reporting

Full bin

The resident photographs the container, locates it and ticks the checks specific to its type (glass, packaging, paper…). A second report of the same container within 24 hours is added to the first. You answer “collection planned”, “emptied” or “unfounded” with a reason, and the measurement groups confirmed overflows. More on full-bin reporting.

Garden waste

Shredding

Residents request a visit online; nearby requests are grouped into one visit; each resident is told by email, in their language; the shredded volume becomes kilos kept out of the recycling centre. Your price is shown as you write it: the tool collects no money. More on shredding.

Reuse

Reuse area and article 58

The officer records on a phone what comes into and leaves the reuse area, weighed or estimated. Only what is handed on counts as reuse. The annual article 58 purchasing return (French anti-waste law) is filled in by official category and exported in the national format. More on the reuse area.

Map

The map

One map for all tools: recycling centres, reuse shops, drop-off points, compost sites, repair cafés, meeting points. You add a place by hand, import your drop-off points from your file (CSV or GeoJSON) or take them from OpenStreetMap. Residents tap a point, see opening hours and contact details, and “directions” opens their phone's GPS.

Foundation

The shared foundation

  • Resident accounts: nickname, email address never shown, municipality; sign-in by a link sent by email, no password; aged 15 and over; real deletion on request.
  • Photos: virus-checked, resized, stripped of location and date; never public by default.
  • Moderation: anyone can report content; every decision is explained and logged.
  • Positions rounded to about a hundred metres when shown to the public.
  • Languages: French and English with a switch for residents; texts also translated into German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
  • Kilos handed over or shredded: each gesture counted once in its tool, with its written calculation rule, and marked “estimated” when it is not weighed.

New

The recyclerie, online

Residents give items they no longer need to other residents of their municipality, free of charge, with no advertising and no tokens to buy, unlike advertising-funded giveaway platforms. Pick-up at the giver's home or at a public meeting point chosen by the local authority; what nobody takes is pointed to its drop-off points (second-hand shop, reuse area at the recycling centre). More on the recyclerie.

Management side

For the service: waste management

A second block, for the service team: each month it checks the bin lifts, recycling centre visits and weighings exported by your software and contractor, simulates your pay-as-you-throw charge or tax schedules, and sets the collection invoice against the quantities recorded. It sits on top of your software, without replacing it. Waste management.

Limits

What the tool does not do

It does not set your price, your collection frequency, the installation of a reuse area or an agreement with a reuse shop: those are your decisions, and the profile marks them “for the local authority to carry out”. It collects no money from residents and suggests no action that burdens them (increase, inspection, penalty).

Access offered, on your own area

Request access for your local authority

  1. Open the access page and enter your work email address: it is checked against the official directory of the French administration.
  2. Enter the code you receive by email: you go straight into your institution's own space, locked to its area.
  3. Open the waste service there: your municipalities and the tools in service are already set; your recycling centres, the drop-off points mapped on OpenStreetMap and your profile follow shortly, taken from public data. Nothing fictitious: it is your area.
  4. Each colleague signs in with their own address and joins the same space. Each address is valid for one month; access ends by itself.

Open my access

Demo

Or see the demo first

See right away, without asking for anything, what residents see: the Recyclerie (giveaways), collection days, full bins, the map, shredding. The content is an example, labelled as such on every screen.

See what residents see

For the local authority side (dashboards, settings, article 58 return), sign in with your work email: a code is sent to you and you land directly in the waste service.
