Your waste prevention plan, set to your own area
The profile reads your public data and ranks the actions that matter most here. The tools put those actions in residents' hands, and every kilo handed over or shredded is counted. For French local authorities.
The situation
The plan is mandatory, running it rests on few people
French authorities responsible for waste collection or treatment must adopt a local household waste prevention programme (PLPDMA, Environment Code, art. L.541-15-1). The law targets 15% less household waste per resident in 2030 compared with 2010 (art. L.541-1). That takes practical actions, and indicators for the annual review.
Step by step
What the profile does
- For your municipalities, it reads residents and density (INSEE grid), kilos per resident per stream and the area's type (ADEME), second homes, campsites and tourist beds (INSEE), and the funding method.
- It applies written rules: lots of garden waste at recycling centres → shredding; lots of bulky waste with no reuse shop → reuse area; scattered housing → home composting first; tourist area → information in every holiday let; pay-as-you-throw → show each household what it saves.
- Each action carries its target and source. Missing data gives “to be checked”; thresholds that are method choices are marked as such and can be adjusted.
- What you already do is shown as “already in place: measure the effect”, never as something new.

Pay-as-you-throw: preparing the start
ADEME's review of pay-as-you-throw (2021) notes, at the start, more waste brought to recycling centres and more fly-tipping near drop-off points. If you declare a pricing scheme as adopted, the profile highlights what helps households pay less without cheating: shredding, reuse, full-bin reports, and never an amount promised until the tariff is voted.
Never an action that burdens residents
No rule suggests a tariff increase, inspections or penalties for residents. Pricing, collection frequency and equipment remain your decisions: the profile marks them “for the local authority to carry out”. Tools in service.

Access offered, on your own area
Request access for your local authority
- Open the access page and enter your work email address: it is checked against the official directory of the French administration.
- Enter the code you receive by email: you go straight into your institution's own space, locked to its area.
- Open the waste service there: your municipalities and the tools in service are already set; your recycling centres, the drop-off points mapped on OpenStreetMap and your profile follow shortly, taken from public data. Nothing fictitious: it is your area.
- Each colleague signs in with their own address and joins the same space. Each address is valid for one month; access ends by itself.
Reserved for French public bodies: municipalities, inter-municipal bodies, waste syndicates, departments, regions, public establishments, State services. The access pages and the tool's settings screens are in French. Address not recognised? Write to us.
Demo
Or see the demo first
See right away, without asking for anything, what residents see: the Recyclerie (giveaways), collection days, full bins, the map, shredding. The content is an example, labelled as such on every screen.
For the local authority side (dashboards, settings, article 58 return), sign in with your work email: a code is sent to you and you land directly in the waste service.
