Waste management, by Ngento

Every bin lift billed to the right user, every contractor invoice checked

For the waste service: your bin lifts, recycling centre visits and weighings checked every month, your pay-as-you-throw charge or tax schedules simulated, and the collection invoice set against the quantities recorded. On top of your software, without replacing it. For French local authorities.

The problem

With pay-as-you-throw, every bin lift becomes money

An unknown chip, a bin with nobody liable, a badge declared stolen and still used: these are lifts nobody will pay for, or wrong bills sent to users that come back as complaints. And the collection contractor's invoice, the service's largest expense, is rarely checked line by line against lifts and weighings. The aim: everyone pays what they owe, no more, no less, and the service only pays for what was done.

What waste management does

Six tools for the service, one screen

The register

Users, premises, chipped bins, badges and collection points, with their dated history: moving in, moving out, bin changes.

Your files, as they are

Bin lifts, recycling centre visits and weighbridge tickets, as CSV or Excel, exported by the contractor, the collection software or the weighbridge. You say once which column is which: it is kept for that source.

13 checks and a work list

Double reads, a bin lifted twice the same day, unknown chips, bins with no user, inconsistent weighings, visits outside opening hours… Staff mark each item “corrected” or “justified”; what comes back is reopened.

Schedules and simulation

Charges and taxes, flat or pay-as-you-throw, and the special charge for businesses: simulate each payer's bill and compare two schedules (who would pay more, who less, total revenue).

The contractor's invoice

Contract prices revised by the contract's formula, quantities recorded in lifts, rounds and weighings: every difference explained, line by line.

The councillor's dashboard

Three conclusions with figures (revenue at stake, invoice difference, tonnage trends), the annual report indicators and the deadlines.

Method

Checks that say what they could not check

  • a renamed column in the export is refused and named, instead of slipping through;
  • each unreadable line is listed with its number and reason; re-importing the same file duplicates nothing;
  • a missing revision index makes the price “not checkable”, never revised at random;
  • a service recorded but not invoiced is flagged too: the check works both ways;
  • a collection point with unknown opening hours is reported “not checked”, not “no anomaly”.

What it is not

A control layer, not one more piece of software

Your billing, remote-reading or collection software stays in place: waste management reads their exports, checks and calculates. It issues no payment demand and collects nothing. It produces a billing statement (CSV or Excel) that your finance software or the tax services take over; its format is agreed with you and your public accountant.

The rules of French law (General Tax Code article 1522 bis for the pay-as-you-throw tax; local authorities code articles L2333-76 and L2333-78 for charges) appear as alerts on the schedule, never as refusals: the local authority decides.

Privacy

Users' data

Imported files are not kept, only their fingerprint is. Record look-ups are logged. Each staff member has their own rights: view, import, check, handle the work list; the administrator also sets schedules, the contract and the billing statement. The data remains your local authority's, hosted in Germany.

Price

On quote

Waste management has no published price yet: it depends on the size of your service and the files to take over. The residents' side (Moins jeter) has its published price. See local authority pricing.

Access

Set up on your own files

Waste management is not part of the one-month offered access: it is set up with you, from the files you already export. We look at your exports and your collection contract together, then send you a quote.

Demo

See the screens before deciding

Ask for a presentation: we show you the screens (dashboard, work list, imports, charging schedules, contractor invoice) and answer your questions about your files. The residents' side can be seen right away: the Moins jeter demo.

Frequently asked questions

The service's questions

Do we need to change our pay-as-you-throw software?
No. Waste management sits on top: it reads the exports of your software and contractor, and checks them.
Which files are needed?
At the start, the list of users, premises and bins. Then each month: bin lifts (bin identifier, date and time), recycling centre visits (badge, date, site) and weighbridge tickets. As CSV or Excel, with your own columns.
What is a bin lift?
The emptying of a chipped bin by the collection lorry, recorded with the bin identifier, date and time. Under pay-as-you-throw, the number of lifts is often the basis of the variable part.
Does Ngento send bills to users?
No. It prepares the billing statement; payment demands are issued by your finance software, or the tax by the tax services.
And without pay-as-you-throw?
Checking the contractor's invoice, weighings and rounds works for any funding method, tax or charge.
And the special charge for businesses?
It has its own schedule, like the other methods, and is simulated the same way.
